Year 3 Coverage of Work
Week beginning 23rd November 2009
Literacy
In literacy this week we will be learning about the features of writing instructions in various forms. We will investigate how Romans built roads and use this to write our own instructions. We will then use these instructions to build our very own road!
Numeracy
In numeracy we will be identifying sequences and working out equivalent fractions. We will extend our knowledge of time tables by researching what digits multiples of 2,3,4 etc can end in. We will review multiplication as repeated addition and division as repeated subtraction and begin to realise that some division calculations have a remainder.
Creative Curriculum
As well as researching Roman roads we make coil Roman pots.
